CHALLΞNGE TYPES
TOURNAMENT-STYLE / ANYTIME-STYLE
A “Challenge” is a
single Trivia Question that has been turned into a virtual contest with a
winnable prize (cash, gift card, merchandise, service, etc).
FantasyTrivia currently features 2 different Challenge Types:
1. Anytime-Style Challenges are the regular, default types of Trivia Questions you’ll see when you go to FantasyTrivia’s PlayFT section.
They’re either free to play/answer - or have a $0.10 Entry Fee.
If you load funds to your account, then you can just fly through and view Challenges by tapping the big FT Circle/Crest and once you “accept” a Challenge - if there’s an Entry Fee then it’ll automatically deduct from your balance.
There’s a 10-second timer that starts instantly the moment the Question loads. Once you tap your answer (or if the timer expires) your answer or non-answer and time is logged instantly to the Leaderboard for that Question.
You’ll be able to see your time, but no others until there are 10 answers - at which point ALL times will appear/publish.
Then, the correct answer with the fastest time automatically wins!
2. Tournament-Style Challenges are single Trivia Questions that go-live at a specific time, so that ALL Players will get to see and answer at the exact same time. See Challenges page
You can set a reminder and there’s a Waiting Room that you can leave up and click Refresh until the Question goes live - at which time you’ll be able to see and answer it.
Creators can set the Prize Amounts (and splits) for Tournament-style Challenges with a minimum amount of required Players to go-live.
Note: FantasyTrivia also posts/publishes Tournament-style Challenges, which we set the Prize Amounts (and splits) for.
The same Prize Splits above (in green) apply to Tournament-Style Challenges too - except the 10% Referrer amount goes directly to the referrer of the Winner of that Challenge.
*Note: FantasyTrivia gives out daily Prize Rewards based on points (as Entries) - and the members who referred those Winners receive the 10% Referral Bonuses (paid out of the Referral Fund).
FANTASYTRIVIA POINTS
Points are trackable in real-time and publish instantly to the Leaderboard every time you earn new points.
EARN POINTS WHEN YOU:
- Answer a Trivia Question (ie. play a Trivia Challenge)
- Refer another member** or sign up for one of our Premium Monthly Member Upgrades (even if it’s month-to-month).
- Monthly Renewals receive additional points too.
** To get credit, referred members must load funds to their account or sign up for a Premium Membership (or month-to-month, pay-as-you-go).

- 50% of the Challenge-Question Pot goes to the Winning Time
- 20% goes to the Creator of the Question/Challenge
- 10% goes into a Referral Fund* that gets paid out everyday
- 20% goes to FantasyTrivia
